The application phase for the ninth edition of the FBZ art award will begin on December 23, 2025. Artists residing within the EU can apply for the FBZ art award 2026, worth up to €10,000, awarded by the Mental Health Research and Treatment Center (FBZ) at Ruhr University Bochum. The aim of the art award is to destigmatize mental disorders and psychotherapy. Works on the theme of mental health are sought, which can include genres ranging from painting, sculpture, drawing, and graphic art to photography. Installations are also sought, provided their size allows them to be presented in the rooms of the FBZ psychotherapy outpatient clinics. As an important location for mental health, the FBZ wants to contribute to an appreciative and context-appropriate approach in everyday treatment by exhibiting the works of art.
