The tradition of Lublin Art Salons dates back to the establishment of the Lublin Branch of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers in 1936. Their continuation is the Eastern Salon of Art, established in 1993 as the most important and largest cyclical presentation of contemporary art in Eastern Poland. This year's 29th Eastern Art Salon was organized for the fourth time in a row as an open international art competition. The best works submitted to the competition will be presented at the Center for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin - the event's co-organizer. We would like the exhibition of the International Competition to become a review of the most interesting creative attitudes of visual artists from Poland and abroad. Addressing a wide range of Artists, we want to show various tendencies, searches and artistic sensitivity both in terms of the form and content of contemporary art. We are convinced that the presented works will be a reason for in-depth reflection on current art and will allow them to be situated in the wider context of European art. We hope that the terms of the competition set out in the regulations will be a sufficient guarantee of a high artistic level of the post-competition exhibition.
