The medium-sized town of Tuttlingen in the south of Baden-Württemberg is located in the Upper Danube Valley and close to Lake Constance.
Here, a dedicated cultural circle is awarding a scholarship in the field of culture for the second time, this time in the field of fine arts. For three months (May 1 to July 31, 2026), an artist will have the opportunity to work on an artistic project on site in Tuttlingen. Although there is a residency requirement, flexibility can be expected if other commitments arise.
The position is supervised and supported by the “Arbeitskreis Tuttlinger Kulturstipendium” (Tuttlingen Cultural Scholarship Working Group), which is affiliated with the cultural association KUKAV e.V. (Kulturkastenverein Tuttlingen). The working group establishes networks between the scholarship holder and other cultural professionals in the city, thus ensuring a lively exchange.
The scholarship holder is expected to be willing to offer studio visits and artist talks and to invite guests to at least one exhibition or final presentation. In addition, the scholarship holder's own ideas for interaction with and in the city are welcome. Knowledge of German is therefore desirable. No other scholarship may be held at the same time.
The financial grant amounts to 1500 euros, with free accommodation and studio use. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
