Spiekeroog campsite residence

The Spiekeroog campsite residency takes place here every year. The residency is aimed at artists developping conceptual, temporary projects in public spaces as well as participatory formats that can engage in dialogue with visitors to the island. The artistic works should relate to the natural, social, and cultural structures of Spiekeroog and be created in response to this special place. The artist will reside on the Spiekeroog campsite for four weeks in a tent provided there and realize an art project according to their own ideas, which, depending on the type of exhibition, can then be viewed on Spiekeroog until the next season.

Where possible, the projects should be accompanied during their creation and documented in the media; to this end, the artist grants a communicative right of use for photos and videos. All other image rights remain with the artist.
