Galerie Jena e.V. - feminism an decoloniality

The gallery was a former bunker, underground, grey and white walls The gallery is 350 square metres in size. The building is a listed building and many ‘GDR’ railway station elements have been preserved. The artists who work here in several studios experience it as a place of inspiration and retreat. The station also houses rehearsal rooms, a live music club that promotes non-commercial events on Sundays and Mondays, a shared flat and a Vietnamese restaurant. Next year, we are organising a ‘Konferenz der Künste’ to respond artistically to the current problems in the region.

The accommodation at the Kulturbahnhof Jena is a small room with two beds, shower and WiFi. There is a small shared kitchen in the gallery café and plenty of space to work in the gallery rooms.
