Otterndorf Stadtschreiber- und Künstlerstipedium

The scholarship, which has been offered annually since 1985, includes free accommodation in the classicist garden house at Süderwall on the edge of the historic old town as well as allowances of 1200 euros per month for the stay from May to September. The scholarship holder is expected to spend most of the time (at least four of the five months) in Otterndorf during the scholarship period.

The town of Otterndorf does not offer anything in return for the scholarship. However, it would be pleased to have a scholarship holder who enriches the cultural life of the town during the "term of office" and is available for at least two fee-free readings. It would also be desirable that a lively contact to the country and its people is established and that the collected impressions are also processed in literary form, e.g. in a blog, in the local newspaper, etc.
