The art exchange programme within the framework of the European Art Scholarship of the District of Upper Bavaria takes place in cooperation with partner organisations abroad. Artists from other European countries have the opportunity to live and work at the Schafhof for one to three months at a time. In return, the same number of Upper Bavarian artists take part in a corresponding stay in the partner countries. The aim is to promote the European idea and to enrich regional cultural life.
The artist-in-residence programme at the Schafhof - Europäisches Kunstforum Oberbayern takes place within the framework of the European Art Scholarship of the District of Upper Bavaria.
During the guest artists' stay in Freising, various public events such as presentations and open studio days take place. In addition, individual appointments for visits and meetings can be arranged at any time. If you want to bring a companion, please reach out to the residency - Possible in case of an agreement.
