We offer an artist residence, which we call Art Hermitage, free of charge to artists who want to dedicate some time fully to the arts.

The residence is a small house with a living/bed room, a kitchen and a bathroom. It is located on a secluded property of about 6.000 square meters surrounded by fields and woods. That is why there also might be spiders, mosquitos and flies.

The hermitage offers a quiet place for contemplation without internet, radio or TV to reduce the media distractions of everyday life. We have donkeys, sheep and goats on the property that are always happy about some attention.

Two people can be accommodated at a time in the same room.
The residence is very secluded and about 500 meters from the main property. There are only very few neighbors.
The train station is about 4 km away, the nearest bus stop about 1 km. We have two bicycles there that you can use to get around and explore the surroundings.
We do not offer any financial support or food during your stay, but you are welcome to harvest vegetables from our garden.
You can use the property of the residence (inside and outside), there is a terrace with a table. Also, the property of the landscape park is open to you to explore and practice your art. We organize a variety of events throughout the year and are happy to include you with a reading, an exhibition, a concert, etc. if you are interested. If you'd like to leave a piece of art, we would be happy to include it in our art gallery.
There is no expected outcome whatsoever. If artists need to reconnect with themselves, take a break from everyday life and focus on their art, that's totally up to them. They can experiment with new materials or areas of art. If they would like to leave us something, we'd be happy to include it in our art gallery or publish it on our website.
