otte1 - Schleswig-Holsteinisches Künstlerhaus e.V.

The Otte1 Artist Residency – named after its location at Ottestr. 1 in Eckernförde, Germany – is a place for research, artistic work and international encounters. It supports professional artists at various stages of their careers. After selection by a jury, the board of the Freundeskreis otte1 – Schleswig-Holsteinisches Künstlerhaus (Friends of otte1 – Schleswig-Holstein Artists' House) awards annual scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, subject to coverage by the state budget. Professional artists from the fields of visual arts, composition, new music and literature are eligible to apply. The scholarships are awarded as three-month work and residence scholarships. Applications are submitted online. It is not necessary to present a specific project; research and the development of project approaches are also eligible for funding. The Künstlerhaus does not specify content for the artists. If necessary, members of the association with extensive curatorial experience can support the artists.
