Huang Zhuan

"OCT Contemporary Art Terminal (OCAT)" is a contemporary art institution, affiliated with the "He Xiangning Art Museum" in Shenzhen, one of the two state museums in China. "OCAT" was founded in 2005.

Huang Zhuan describes its special structures: The institution is funded by the Chinese overseas community. This set-up allows experiments and independent projects related to contemporary Chinese and international visual art, including music performances, film and video. Central to its programme is the "OCAT International Art Residency".
