International Association of Arts Europe

 IAA Europe Talks

The online series IAA Europe Talks launched in September 2020. It aims to connect IAA members and supporters more closely and to discuss (especially in times of the pandemic) the current role of artists' associations and the need for their international cooperation.

On 17 September 2020, the Talks kicked off with Fabio Tolledi (President of the Italian Centre of International Theatre Institute - ITI, Vice President for Europe in the ITI World Board and Secretary of the Theatre in Conflict Zones Network - TCZN), Teemu Mäki (Artists' Association of Finland/ National Committee of the IAA in Finland, Board Member IAA Europe) and Marta Mabel Perez / requested / (Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Museum of Art, Asociación Puertorriqueña De Artistas Plásticos/ National Committee of the IAA in Puerto Rico, IAA Treasurer) took place under the moderation of IAA Europe President Andrea Kristek Kozarova.

IAA Europe General Assembly in 2021

The IAA Europe Annual Conference and General Assembly planned for 2020 unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. However, planning is already underway for the IAA Europe Annual Meeting in 2021, which is expected to take place in Helsinki on 23 and 24 September 2021.

Besides IAA Europe, the hosts will be the IAA National Committees from Finland (Artists' Association of Finland) and from the United Kingdom (a-n The Artists Information Company).

The General Assembly is to be combined with a conference that will again address the issue of exhibition remuneration in the European IAA member countries. The event will follow on from the first pan-European conference on this topic held by IGBK, IAA Europe, VG Bild-Kunst and the organization European Visual Artists (EVA) in Brussels in 2018, and will discuss it in more depth, with new and updated country reports, and jointly develop lobbying strategies.
