No end to the road. Fellowship for urban digital culture

The digitization of the cultural scene is more than just a livestream from a theater auditorium. Artists and cultural practitioners are experimenting with new media formats, networking with one another, and collaboratively creating spaces for new post-digital forms of expression. Here at the Kulturforum Witten, we believe it’s time to bring the German cultural landscape into the digital realm—and vice versa. For artists and audiences alike, digitization offers the opportunity to rethink artistic processes and to renegotiate cultural, social, and political issues through new media. Together with the Cologne Game Lab and a large network of partners spanning Dortmund and the Rhineland, we aim to explore digital means of expression and bring them to life—with young and creative artists, in the city, the region, and beyond.
