Swiss Artist Sibylle Feucht, born in Kaufbeuren (GER), lives and works since 2010 in Bonn (GER), before in Basel (SUI), conceptual work approach with different medias as Photography, Video, Installation and Plastic Beads melted together. Education: Master in Science (Biology) at the University of Basel (Biocenter) and at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); F+F School for Art and New Media in Zurich (www.ffzh.ch); Executive Master in Design | Art + Innovation, Academy of Art and Design, Basel (www.fhnw.ch/hgk). Numerous solo- and group exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad; purchases by private collectors and governmental institutions; a number of Studiobourses, e.g. Cité des Arts, Paris (F), Rotterdam (NL) (www.iaab.ch), Urban Residency Slavutych, www.86.org.ua/en (Ukraine), Travel Grant by Frauenkulturbüro NorthRhineWestfalia (www.frauenkulturbuero-nrw.de) for Armenia and Georgia. Nominated for CityARTists.de 2020. Since 2011 Launch and management of the artist-run, non-profit art space Das Esszimmer – space for art+ (www.dasesszimmer.com) in Bonn (GER).
DAS ESSZIMMER – space for art+ in Bonn (GER) fosters striking positions in contemporary art – mostly by solo shows. Constant exchange through guest curators and collaborations with art spaces and organizations on a national and international level create a vibrant discourse and are a constant source of inspiration. Our ongoing challenge is to explore and test the boundaries of contemporary curating.
