Prerequisite for funding is the nationwide importance and the model character of the projects. The promotion of competitions is excluded.

B1 Exhibitions / projects on contemporary visual arts with a national focus - artists' groups (also project-related free groups), art associations, art dealers, galleries, museums and organizers of artistic projects can aplly grants for exemplary and nationally significant exhibitions / projects in Germany of predominantly German or applying for permanent living in Germany living visual artists. Up to 75% of the project costs can be financed, but no more than 35,000 euros. Investive and current expenses of an institution are not subsidized.

B2 Initial exhibitions by qualified individual visual artists - German exhibition centers of national importance can apply for a financial subsidy of up to 90% of the total costs, but not more than EUR 25,000 for the first major solo exhibition of visual artists living in Germany. Investive and current expenses of an institution are not subsidized.

B3 Publications and documentations on contemporary visual arts with a national focus - artists' groups (including project-related free groups), art associations, art dealers, galleries, museums, publishers and organizers of artistic projects in Germany can apply for grants for publications and documentaries predominantly by German artists. Up to 50% of the costs can be financed, but not more than 25,000 euros.

B5 Catalogue promotion for artists - Permanent artists living in Germany or members of the VG Bild-Kunst / BG I can aplly for a financial subsidy of max. 6,000 euros for monographic catalogs.
