Residence permits for artists and musicians in Berlin – options and requirements

Artists and musicians who have recently moved to Berlin from outside the EU (i.e. from so-called third countries) usually face many issues regarding their visa/residence permit status. Many questions arise: What am I allowed to do with my residence permit? What types of work am I allowed to do? What do I need to take care of when it comes to extending my residence permit?

They will examine all the stages involved in dealing with residence permit issues, paying special attention to the living and working conditions of musicians:

  • Different types of residence permits/visas and their requirements 
  • The application process and where to apply
  • Access to the labour market
  • Extension of a visa/residence permit 
  • Permanent residence permit/citizenship

The event will be held in English.
