Schaufler Residenz der TU Dresden

The Schaufler Residency at TU Dresden is an artist-in-residence programme for the promotion of artistic research that gives international artists the opportunity to become part of the scientific community at TU Dresden for six months. The programme is aimed at visual artists from the fields of performance, installation, media art (video, sound, etc.) who also understand their artistic practice in terms of time-based art. The projects of the Schaufler Residency with the annually changing Artists in Residence are closely connected to the themes of the Schaufler Kolleg of the TU Dresden and promote each other.

The residency is located in an Open Studio on the TU Dresden campus, in the immediate vicinity of the Kolleg. The Open Studio also serves as a spatial interface between the Kolleg and artistic-scientific research. The studio also functions as a forum for encounters between the university and the public. Among other things, workshops, lectures and presentations take place here.
