The artist in residence programme air_frankfurt aims to promote international exchange between frankfurt and emerging art centres worldwide.
Frankfurt artists and artists from abroad are offered the opportunity to receive new artistic input, to create new works and to network internationally during three-month artist-in-residencies abroad or in Frankfurt. Air_frankfurt is aimed exclusively at artists who have their centre of work and life in frankfurt. Artists from abroad who are interested in an artist residency in frankfurt must have their centre of work and life in the respective city of the sending partner organisation. The artists should be highly qualified and have a successful degree from an art academy as well as knowledge of english. The application deadlines for frankfurt artists with the corresponding requirements are regularly announced on the basis homepage. Information on a residency in Frankfurt can be found on the respective homepage of the partner organisation abroad.
